During my stay in Armenia (2010) I got interested in originality, ornaments and sacredness of ancient religious plasticity. This way I had an idea to transfer my creative ideas onto a cliché and try to express myself using the language of graphics. The cycle of linocuts ‘Khachkars’ parallels religious artefacts of culturally distant countries, whose ornaments and etymology greatly differ. However, one can trace similar manifestations of their emergence. In this cycle of graphic prints I focus on the role that historical heritage performs in adaptation of traditions of various cultures and Christianity.0
